Beverley Art Group picture to appear on national Mind calendar front page!
Triumph for the HEY Mind Beverley Art Group!
The Beverley Art Group originally had two pictures accepted to be published on the national Mind calendar 2010. Both pictures are winners in that they both got accepted onto the national Mind calendar, but the extra good news was that “Summer Dream” by Dawn Millington has been chosen for the front cover!

A quote from Dawn and Development Worker Liz Watson have been used, as a result, in the covering letter sent out to supporters. See below:-
Development worker Liz Watson said: “…people benefit from the regular contact with others with similar experiences, and from the space to be creative, share ideas and get positive reinforcement. The opportunity to submit work to the Mind calendar has been a real boost to confidence and a motivator to members.”
Dawn Millington, said: “My inspirations come from my thoughts of wanting things to be brighter and happier. I have used Hull & East Yorkshire Mind services for the past seven years due to my depression which greatly affects my life. The benefits I get from the group are that it helps me to try to communicate with people, which I have a problem with; also it gets me out of the house and gives me confidence.”
