LINX

Hull and East Yorkshire Mind’s LINX House provide 24 hour intensive support for young people between the ages of 16 and 35, experiencing first episode psychosis.
The work of LINX House is based on research which has evidenced that early intervention to address the psychotic episodes experienced by some young people, will reduce the severity of the episode, increase the recovery speed, the level of recovery and reduce the frequency and severity of future episodes.
Based in a pleasant, central location in Hull LINX house provides 7 self contained flats plus a communal lounge, laundry facility, and a garden with sitting areas, greenhouse and vegetable plot. This gives residents a high quality living space of their own plus the amenities and support of the wider building.
LINX is highly committed to promoting social inclusion and, by working closely with each resident and with the other service agencies, residents can overcome the barriers that people experiencing mental health difficulties may encounter.
Many service users have successfully moved on from LINX, maintained their independence, developed new ways to manage their mental health issues and realise that they can live a full life despite probable future episodes of psychosis.
LINX House staff work closely with statutory agencies, such as the Psychosis Service for Young People in Hull and East Riding (PSYPHER) to provide a full package of support for the residents.
